I’m setting up this blog with the intention of documenting our upcoming honeymoon to Alaska. This is more for me than for anyone else; I just enjoy documenting travel. I documented our first big vacation, an Alaska road trip in 2012, but haven’t documented any travel since. We made the mistake of sharing our Japan trip through Instagram and I should have known better. Always control and own your content.

Another thought I had for this blog was posting a yearly summation along the lines of what some people send out at Christmas time. We have updates and changes in our lives to share but we’re not on social media like a lot of folks.
For example, we had the retaining wall on the side of the house fixed finally last month. Two amazing people removed the old one made from landscaping timbers and used mortar to secure this one in about eight hours.
